Selank is the synthetic heptapeptide Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro. It is based on the natural peptide tuftsin, extended with a Pro-Gly-Pro fragment for greater stability.
It was developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In Russia it is registered as a medicine in the form of nasal drops.
